Beginner Sling

$200.00

Ages 13 and up

REGISTRATION IS OPEN

In these classes, students will learn basic skills and sequences—starting close to the ground and moving higher as strength and body awareness grows. Students will develop confidence and creativity as they learn to execute multiple tricks and create sequences.

CLASS SCHEDULE

PRE-REQUISITE LIST

Beginner Level 1: We recommend that you take at least one term of Level 1 Beginner Aerial Fabric in order to take a beginner Sling class. If you have taken Fabric Level 1 already, it is recommended to take this Sling class several times until you are able to meet the pre-requisites to move up to Level 2.

Beginner Level 2: You have taken Level 1 multiple times and have checked off the pre-requisite skills in order to move up and learn new ones. Learning to have one climb is the goal for this level. Taking this class multiple times is recommended in order to meet the necessary requirements to move up to Level 3. Go to our pre-requisites or ask an instructor if you are able to move up.

Beginner Level 3: In this level you have a solid climb and are ready to learn things off the ground from a climb. We work heavily on technique now that you have more strength and we add newer and harder challenges. Make sure you meet the requirements to move to this level.

Cancellation/ Rescheduling Policy

We do not accept walk-ins. All classes are pre-registered for. If you cancel before taking the class we cannot refund or transfer - sorry! The only time we offer refunds is on the off chance if we have to cancel class. If you miss a class, we cannot do a make-up class for you. However, you can sign up to our Open Studio if you would like to make up the time you missed. If your class lands on a holiday, we will do our best to accommodate and reschedule that class.

Low Enrollment

A term with only one or two students could be cancelled and if you are already pre-registered, we will notify you and refund via email.

Late Policy

At GravityWorks Circus, safety and enjoyment are paramount. To maintain this, we have a strict late policy. Punctuality is important; do not be late. If unforeseen circumstances make you run a few minutes late, inform us. Approval and availability apply. Tardiness is zero-tolerated as it disrupts schedules and compromises safety. Be punctual for the best experience. Your commitment and dedication are valued.

What to Wear

Wear well-fitted clothes that are comfortable and allow for full range of motion. We recommend wearing something that covers both your armpits and legs, as this helps to minimize fabric burn. We do not permit any clothing with zippers, velcro, or metal elements, such as jeans and jackets as these items can damage the apparatus and cause danger to yourself and others. Please do not wear loose clothing either, as it can get caught in the fabric and rip.

Please remove all jewelry before attending class. This includes - wedding rings, dangling earrings, necklaces and watches or Fitbits.
